Hello All, A few of you were aware that the 1st week of Oct. a couple buddies and I were doing a special Elk hunt for a 14 yr. old boy from Georgia who has Cancer thru the Hunt Of A Lifetime Foundation. Well some of you have asked how it went. We had a fantastic hunt in some amazing country. Hunting wild Elk in a remote area of Idaho we were able to use our Bugling Bull Game Calls to call in almost 42 bulls in a week's time. Joseph was able to hold out on the first 7 branch antlered bulls that came before him. When the herd bull walked out at less than 85 yds. and all of us said "That's Him you better take him". Joseph let his 7mm Mag. sing and he nailed a dandy 6x7 Idaho bull. All in all the herd we were calling to consisted of 8 spikes, 42 cow/calves and 8 branch antlered bulls with his 6x7 being the biggest. Above left photo: Our hunting party with Joseph's bull. This bull has some palmation towards the end of his main beam and when he was flopping around on the ground after the hit he broke off 1 tine and about 8" of antler on the "7" side.

On our 3rd day of the hunt it began to snow and it snowed a lot. On the 4th morning we went out with just our bugle & Camera and decided to try and bugle some Elk in during a snow storm and fog. We called 4 bulls (all 5x5 or better) to within 85 yds. but the fog was too thick for photo's. Just when we were getting ready to go I put in the Mellow Yellow and began some hyper cow calling and this 5x5 came up to less than 35 yds. Isn't the snow on his back and the fog pretty cool?
